David Scott Afton

I majoried in undergrad school in political philosophy, graduating in 1986. I went to law school 11 years later, after living in various states throughout the USA and working primarily in casualty insurance claims. I attended law school on the weekends while working full-time during the week, and graduated in September of 2000.

I ran for Wayne County Prosecutor in 2012 and 2016, running as a Libertarian against Kym Worthy. I garnered around 12% of the vote in 2012, and about 16% (112,000 votes) in 2016. I ran on a platform of: (1) non-prosecution of any victimless crime; (2) abolish (or stop prosecutions under) the county's unjust civil forfeiture program; (3) Promote or allow Jury Nullification in all criminal trials.
